How did this happen, and why the name?

Well, this has been resisted for a long time.

By a long time, I mean years, months, something along that order. However, I’m finally done being pestered about this stuff, so I’m actually putting the effort into “Blogging,” as a surrender to the forces of Public Demand.

By Public Demand, I mean a small collection of people, mostly related to me by blood or friendship, who, for some unfathomable reason, enjoy my writing.

I will warn everyone up front: I am not going to pull punches, I reflexively grapple with ideas, and frequently cannot get them to the ground and subdued. I have actual opinions, and I offer solutions when I can.

I am also not interested in getting into the details of who I am, what I do, or where I am. You might be able to learn a little bit from the content of the blog, but I’m not going to tell you my life story any more than necessary.

With all that out of the way, everything else is my work, I will cite all that is not. Enjoy, or don’t, as you please.
